HEALTHY SCHEDULE

This activity would be the last one after a whole week dedicated to this topic. I personally think that it is really motivating because the pupils must adopt an active role and also they will have to be responsible and honest.

JCROSS FOOD

The students are going to work in the same line of work related to the previous activities created with Word and PowerPoint. This exercise will be very useful to show to the teacher if pupils have learnt the concepts properly and if they are able to associate them with their correct definitions. If the previous work has proved to be satisfactory, this activity won’t imply any difficulty to the students and will be nice, funny and easy for them. In this case, the teacher might propose it as a kind of competition to see who fulfils the crossword first position in that pupils love do it.

EVERYDAY FOOD

The activity which I have created it would be within a didactic unit about food and eating habits in English subject. It is thought to be developed in an ideal context where all the pupils would have a computer to do this kind of exercises. It is about how the children feel about the food and their relation with it. I personally think that it is a very interactive activity in which they can give their own opinion so it could be really motivating. Besides, the approach is quite appealing so it would make the activity more interesting for them. First of all, the students should talk with their partners and the teacher about what they think and know about all the food which is drawn. This way they will work speaking skill. Then, they would do it the same in the computer, using some essential techniques like copy and paste. In the next part, they will have to write the correct word under the picture, choosing it among a lot more. We will work here the writing skill and also the vocabulary. Finally, pupils have to give their own opinion about what food they think are more important nutritionally speaking, to check it after with the food pyramid after. One of the objectives of this activity would be make pupils aware of the importance of a balance diet throughout a very appealing work. Also these kinds of contents let the teacher works transversally with other areas as science, plastics or PE, which can be very useful taking into account these subjects are usually taught In English in a bilingual context school.

FOOD THAT SOUNDS

This activity would be a continuation of the previous one created by word. I personally think that once pupils have learnt the vocabulary the will be more willing to work with pronunciation through which we would be working oral skills. This is also a natural way to put down the words they have been working with earlier. The activity consists of listening and repeat the word whose number has been said by the teacher, trying to get the best result and paying special attention on listening properly. One pupil, one number. After a while, will be the students who will tell numbers to their classmates, always following an order. At the end of the activity there is a phrase which they will have to put into order. We will use it as a kind of message that we want our pupils take into account because of its importance. This way we will be working a bit of grammar but in a very different way.
